Our Programs

Ready, Set, GO!

EPNE Leaders pick up kids from their home and walk them to school in the safest route.  They are trained to teach kids the precautions needed when walking in the streets.  

Getting your hands Dirty!

Kids get the opportunity to participate in a cooking class that focuses in nutrition.  There is a get together once a month to prepare safe, easy to make, healthy and delicious meals!  

Time out? Let's Play!

Exposing kids to the natural light and fresh air! Our coaches are ready to take on the next challenge, kids will compete, break a sweat, build lifetime relationships, all while having fun!

To guide the younger generations into true health by creating an affordable, safe place to learn about real food nutrition and provide them with daily exercise. We are an organization committed to building trust and close relationships with the students to implement a healthy lifestyle and  keep them actively engaged in wellness by better facilitating our youth alongside mentors, coaches and role model peers to enhance their lives in confidence and self-esteem. EPNE believes that children, geared with knowledge and early healthy habits can grow to be better prepared for adolescence and adulthood.

  • The United States has the highest obesity rates
  • 12.7 million (18%)  of children 2 to 19 years old are overweight or obese 
  • 1 in 3 kids  in (5th - 7th grade) are overweight or obese  
  • Obesity has nearly tripled since 1963
  • 80% of children that have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes are obese
  • According to a University of Michigan researcher, 13% of U.S. children walked or biked to school in 2004, compared to more than 50% who did so in 1969.
  • More than one-third (36.5%) of U.S. adults have obesity
  • Highest rates of obesity are in the low income areas
  • The estimated annual medical cost of obesity in the U.S. was $147 billion in 2008 U.S. dollars
